The Star Vie Black Titan 2027 is a firm, attack-minded racket that asks you to hit through the ball rather than let the racket do the work. I see it as a serious option for experienced players who want precision under acceleration and a more forceful finish at the net.
It is not a forgiving, easy-exit racket. The response is crisp and demanding, but that same firmness gives it a very connected feel on loaded volleys, overheads, and aggressive low-driven lobs.
Technical analysis
Shape & balance
Its tear shape puts the Black Titan between a round control racket and a full diamond power model. The hitting area is more accessible than on a sharply head-heavy diamond, yet the balance still sits high enough to favor overhead work and attacking volleys.
That setup explains the maneuverability trade-off. I would not call it slow, but quick wrist adjustments in fast exchanges require clean preparation. Players who tend to arrive late on defense or rely on reactive blocks may find the head wants to keep moving. Give it a committed swing, though, and it feels stable rather than cumbersome.
Materials & construction
The construction combines a carbon frame, 24K Carbon Master faces, and an H-EVA Power core. The result is a hard feel with a direct response: the ball does not linger much on the faces, and feedback is clear on both clean and off-center contact.
That firm layup helps the racket hold its line when you accelerate. Volleys do not flutter, and there is enough structural stiffness to hit a víbora with intent without feeling the face twist. The compromise is comfort. On colder days or against heavy hitters, poorly centered defensive contacts can feel abrupt, especially compared with a softer EVA or fiberglass-faced racket.
On-court feel
Baseline play
From the baseline, I liked the precision more than the free ball exit. The sweet spot is reasonably generous for this shape, but the racket rewards active technique. If I prepare early and meet the ball cleanly, defensive lobs travel with good depth and low-driven lobs stay controlled.
Passive blocks are less automatic. The racket will not add much help if your swing is short or your contact is late, so players looking for easy rebound from the back of the court should look elsewhere. Off-the-wall play is accurate, but it needs a firm hand and proper timing.
At the net
At the net, the Black Titan makes more sense. The face stays composed on hard volleys, and the high balance gives the ball useful penetration without forcing every shot into a winner attempt. I found it particularly suited to directing volleys deep through the middle or into the feet rather than simply blasting.
Touch shots need adjustment. A soft chiquita or drop shot is possible, but the hard response gives you a narrower margin than a softer control racket. The grip pressure matters a lot here.
Bandeja and víbora
This is one of its strongest areas. The racket carries well through the ball on a bandeja, while the firm faces provide the feedback needed to shape a víbora with pace and direction. It feels more natural hitting a penetrating overhead than floating a neutral ball to reset the point.
Conclusion
I would put the Black Titan 2027 in the hands of an advanced player who builds points at the net and has enough technique to manage a hard, more demanding response. It suits an aggressive player who wants control while accelerating, not a racket that supplies effortless depth.
The trade-off is clear: less comfort and less free rebound from defensive positions. In return, it offers a stable, precise platform for volleys, overhead pressure, and a committed smash.
